U.S. Food Trucks, an affiliate of U.S. Restaurant Properties that specializes in food truck ownership services, hosted its first annual state-wide TX Food Truck Fest in May 2012. For the first time, 30 food trucks from all over Texas came together in this two-day event that benefited the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. It was held at Valley View Center in North Dallas.

The inaugural event was a huge success, with more than 10,000 people coming out to eat delicious bites from food trucks all across Texas. Nicole Communications was able to secure a significant amount of media coverage throughout the state and in food-industry publications including the Dallas Morning News, Dallas Observer, D Magazine, Austin Chronicle, local broadcast (NBC, FOX, ABC and CBS), QSR Magazine, Mobile-Cuisine.com and more.
Due to the wild success of the 2011 event, the City of Arlington partnered with both U.S. Food Trucks and Nicole Communications to bring the new food truck festival to one of the most iconic event arenas in the state – Globe Life Park. All three organizations successfully worked together for the next couple of years to bring the new food truck craze to all Texans.
