We Are All Homeless

WE ARE ALL HOMELESS is an art project based on a collection of homeless signs that Southern Methodist University professor and artist Willie Baronet has bought for more than 20 years. The project began in 1993 due to the awkwardness Baronet felt when he’d pull up to an intersection and encounter a person holding a sign, asking for help.

Nicole Communications was chosen by Baronet to develop and execute a multi-strategic promotional campaign to publicize the Indiegogo campaign Baronet launched to support his planned U.S. coast-to-coast trip in summer 2014. Without funding, Baronet would not have been able to travel on his planned 31-day, 24-city journey, beginning in Seattle and ending in New York.

The promotional campaign was a slam dunk that led to a lot of national media coverage including NPR, Yahoo!, The Huffington Post and Buzzfeed to name a few. Nicole Communications secured more than 138 million reader impressions! Due to the positive exposure, Baronet’s inspirational project was turned into a feature length documentary of his journey – SIGNS OF HUMANITY – which has been featured in eight film festivals.
